Mindful Coloring aims to focus on how we make choices and apply color design whilst making us more aware of the present moment. This process is similar to meditation, letting go of any thoughts about tomorrow or yesterday. By paying attention only to the present moment, students become more relaxed. Learn how to train the mind on how to focus which can help in routine study and work. Besides bringing relaxation and enhancing concentration, coloring improves fine motor skills, grip, hand-eye coordination and handwriting. All of these benefits help children in their everyday life.

This clubs goal will be to deliver a 'newspaper' each week which will contain information such as; sports, world news, politics, literature, food, and many other topics. This will help students stay up to date with world events, while participants in the club will get the opportunity to improve their writing skills. The club also acts as an outlet for students to demonstrate their creativity through their writing, aiming to model a real journalist environment. In our weekly meetings, we will assign roles, topics, and have discussions on how we can improve.

This CCA is about developing mind/body skills both in isolation and in a flow series that combines yoga postures together - the benefit of yoga for the body and mind - exploring yoga asanas by looking at kid-friendly yoga books and pictures - studying the meaning of yoga postures with both English and Sanscrit names,  learning the basic yoga asanas and their names, and Basic Sun Salutation, then combining postures in vinyasa flows and having students choose postures that make them feel confident/relaxed/balanced, etc. Continuing with the addition of more options, modifications to the asanas and teaching students to lead the postures they connect with or want to share with the class. All of this is done in a fun and child-friendly way through play, exploration of yoga asanas inspired by animals and building an atmosphere of risk-taking and confidence.
